My name is Oriane, and I am so looking forward to welcoming you all to our Comics, Manga and Illustration studio. Together we will sharpen our drawing skills, expand our imagination, create wonderful characters, and explore ways to compose engaging stories.
 

Whether you are a complete beginner or a confident artist, the Young Illustrators program is an awesome opportunity to practice and experiment, in a fun and supportive environment! We will learn about sketches and storyboards, ink and colors, combining text and images, and many other creative design tricks!

If you already have a favorite pen or your own artist sketchbook, please bring them with you! If not, no worries—we will provide everything you need for a full week of creation, from different types of paper, pencils and pens, fine liners, to professional alcohol markers, and handy drawing prompts like wooden mannequins.

​

You are also welcome to bring with you comics, manga or images you like for inspiration and reference for your own drawings.​

 

As you may already know or expect, creating comics takes time! So while you can join our studio as little or as much as you want during the Spring Day Camp week, we highly recommend coming back for several sessions to have time to develop your own project through the full design process. Practice exercises will always be different, so we can guarantee fun and excitement every day!

And to show you our commitment, we will gift all participants signing up for the entire program their own sketchbook—the most essential tool on your individual illustration journey!
