April 8th (Sat) & 9th (Sun)
EASTER Eggs-travaganza!
@ GREEN FIELD OKINAWA合同会社
Two separate 3 hour time slots available both days!
Group 1 - 11:30 to 14:30
Group 2 - 14:00 to 17:00
(Easter egg hunt at 14:00. Both groups participate together)
Please note that our special events are family oriented introductions to the program and do not include the classroom style teaching format of our after-school lessons.
Kids learn to build a motorized egg painting machine and a robot Easter bunny using LEGO bricks and gear systems. The participation fee includes use of materials needed for building projects and for a parent/guardian 16 years old and up to participate with the child (not required).
Participants will have up to 3 hours to build and play with their projects. Each project takes between 20 to 60 minutes to build, depending on a child's age or comprehension level. Remaining time is spent customizing and playing with projects.
An instructor will assist as needed when building the egg painting machine and robot rabbit, providing step-by-step visual instructions in both Japanese and English. Artificial white eggs and colored markers are provided. After building the basic model, you can customize it using more parts and your original ideas. After the workshop, all building materials must be returned to the building kit. Eggs decorated by participants may be taken home.
Around 14:00, an Easter egg hunt will be held in the garden area of the venue. Colorful plastic eggs containing prizes will be used. In case of heavy rain, the egg hunt may be canceled but the STEM activities will proceed as planned.
